Justin Bieber Scandals

Now if you have ever even heard of Justin Bieber only once or twice in your life you are sure to know about his not so good record on staying out of trouble. From "egging houses" all the way to "Spitting on fans in his balcony" we can confirm that there are clearly some hiccups this young adult still has within his career, and like every good deed, his sins will not go unpunished.

In a recent article it was announced that Bieber has recently completed his anger management classes ordered by the court, but still has a lot to make up for. I think that this should be a lesson for all of us to take note on, no matter who you are, karma will always come back around to bite you in the a** (so the quote states). Now I find it very refreshing to see such punishment taking place. It reminds not only us outsiders, but those rapped up in their celebrity lives that there are still consequences to all, and that no one is above the law, no matter who you are. While Bieber does his penance, we should all take note in remembering that.

Everyone has their own opinions, but I personally believe that community work definatly shapes someone into doing good and thinking twice, just in a different way them jail does. Jail scares the crap out of you, you see the kind of people in the scary movies that you never actually wanted to meet in real life, and witness some unimaginable things you never wanted to be apart of. In turn when you are out, you never think twice about doing something that could have the outcome of possibly going back (at least most people feel that way after the situation anyways). Then there is community work for lesser crimes, that teaches respect, patience, and opens your eyes to how goo you truly do have it, in turn making you want to be a better person. I think that Bieber is set up in the perfect option for him. After all, we cant have an international superstar running around like he is the king, think about how much that would screw up the tabloids.

Raven Symoné

We all know her as the famous actress who played Raven in "That so Raven", confident and passionate were just a few words you might use to describe her character (with a dash of attitude, of course) but whats even more interesting is the her true life seems to run parallel.

Recently Symoné spoke out about Miley Cyrus, agreeing with her statement that no one deserves to labeled by their "sexuality" and that everyone should be treated as equals. For me it's not what she said that caught my attention though, it's how she said it. You know how you can tell how you can feel how confident and strong willed someone is by their tone or like their posture? Now don't make fun of me here, but it's kind of like Beyonce, her poise and strong willed attitude inspires people everyday, it's kind of like that. We all strive to be people like Symoné or Beyonce, and want to feel powerful and not discouraged by our words, and Symoné clearly was not.

Having previously been interrogated by the people of the internet, Symoné not only backed Cyrus up, but made a strong statement about how she believes people should be viewed, and how wrong others are for seeing people of different sexuality as different, constantly categorizing them. Now, ask yourself this : If you got asked by a salesman to buy into their product which one would you choose, the one with off the fence comments and holes here and there about their stories, or the ones that simply come out, state the facts, and make clear their ideas? My guess would be you would choose option two, in that case, agreed. Symoné was most definitely option number two compared to all of the other option ones being presented all over the internet. You would be surprised how much impact someone would have on altering your ideas of right and wrong based simply on their attitude and poise they bring to the table on the subject.

Lea Michele Celebrates For Cory

As I had touched upon in an earlier post Cory Montheith (Lea Michele's fiance) died just a little while back from an unexpected drug overdose. This left Lea devastated, but she held strong and made her fist appearance to her audience since the tragic death at the Teen Choice Awards show to accept an award for him, and shared a heartfelt speech.

Now, only months later, Monteith's birthday is upon us and previous friends and cast mates everywhere posted pictures of him in remembrance and in celebration. Scrolling through the article about this was quite bitter sweet, but to see how well Michele took all of this, was even more inspiring. It was obvious during speeches that she got teary-eyed and a little choked up from time to time (which is extremely appropriate considering the circumstances) but the poise she presented deserves endless amounts of respect. She always seemed to know exactly what to say, and never got too caught up in the moment to break down in front of the world and mourn of her loss, which must have been one of the hardest tasks to face.

What also we surprising was to see her support she had towards the fans. Instead of talking of her experiences and talking about Cory she actually focused the attention to her fans making comments such as "We can all get through this together" and "I know Cory is looking down right now thankful for all of your love and support through these hard times". Her interviews seemed to match up as well, all very clear statements, never broken up. However, you could still feel the emotion being poured out in conversation.

As we mark the first birthday without Cory there is not a shadow of a doubt that the love and support of his family, close friends, and fans are not even shy of slipping away. What a great example of mourning and healing for such a great live lost. Lea Michele put is perfectly in her Instagram post "I know you're serenading everyone right now.. We love you Cory! Happy Birthday..❤️ "

The Beatles

Lately in my US History class we have been studying about music from the 70's and 80's, but more specifically the hippie movement. So, I made the executive decision to talk about the ever so well known Beatles and express my opinion. Let's not get off on the wrong foot here though, please remember as you go on that I in no way shape or form am a well known fan of the Beatles, I mean I think I've heard maybe a few of their songs. So, I am just going off of what Coach Whites power point specifically has taught me. Okay, now that we have that cleared up, lets proceed.

So, the Beatles became a hit and started growing a fan base from before the hippie movement. Winning over the hearts of millions everywhere, they were known as the "One Direction" of the 70's and 80's era, but even bigger. Then, we got into talking about how the Vietnam War started to cause issues within the states (the whole idea that our country wasn't fighting for us but rather for other countries). People started to rally and "leave society" and music (and people started to change).

Now, it makes sense to me that the Beatles would have a change in music along with the ear, famous people do that all the time, whether to gain more fans along the way or just because they want to (like Taylor Swift or the ever so "interesting" Miley Cyrus). However, what caught me off guard was not that part of the story, it was the other major factors that changed within their group as well.

Now, considering that it kind of became a main stream thing to do I am in no way bashing on the Beatles, however I am questioning some of their choices. As the era progressed drug became of heavy use, and people starting adapting to them like they would food, and so did the group. Even taking to writing songs while they were on a "high" making it more of an enjoyable listen and take to the fans that did the same.

A better counter approach in my opinion would have been to use their influence of mass numbers and trying to actively protest the war together, rather than promoting the idea that sitting around getting high was going to change anything. However, I guess since I didn't exactly live in that era, I wouldn't fully understand the logic. But my idea sounds logical to, doesn't it?

Overall however, learning about the Beatles was awesome, and hearing about how they came to change the hearts of millions truly is inspiring. No wonder they will live on as legends.

MTV Movie Awards

As most of us know the MTV Movie awards took place about a week ago, and a ton went down. Now it seems like in every award show there is always someone who "sweeps" (or so to speak) the a majority of the major awards away. This isn't a surprise though, considering that if your goo enough to win even one of the major awards your probably capable of wining another one..or two..or how ever many.

This year was quite remarkable however. Shailene Woodly (rather new to the industry) has spontaneously come out of the wood work (no pun intended) and captured the eyes of thousands. Her particualr work in "The Fault in Our Stars" playing as the role of Hazel Grace Lancaster is what seemed to pull on the heartstrings of the world winning her awards such as best kiss, but what is even more extraordinary is how she grew from there.

After her heart wrenching role as Hazel Grace people just couldn't get enough (or at least I couldn't). This is what seemed to make her other very popular role as Tris in Divergent very popular, stringing along in even more fans. These two very strong roles combined earned her the title of the best actress as well.

Now, along with "sweep" of awards, comedy seemed to follow suit as well. With stars such as the Rock and Kevin Hart announcing awards the awards really seemed to have the whole package. Now, some people don't see what the need for comedy skits is. I mean lets be honest, I didn't at first either. But after thinking it over, it makes complete sense. Thinking on award shows we always just think of, well just that. the awards. But the comedy has been just as much of a tradition on the show as the awards have. It's just another way to showcase the talent and (in some cases) a way to lighten up the mood. Comedy shows don't often receive awards for their efforts, but comedy is just as essential to us as the movies being nominated for the awards are, and it's great to have those brief showcases of that sort of talent as well, because it is just as important to us. Besides that who doesn't like to laugh once in a while to am I right? Sorry, I know this paragraph was a little off subject but while on the topic, I figured I would speak my mind on that wandering thought about it as well.

Overall the awards were a success, as they always are. It was great to see such amazing talent grace the stage and receive awards we all know were well deserved. I don't know about you personally but its my dream to sit in at a live award show some time. To be able to see all of the amazing actors and actresses all on the same night, in the same room, all on the same stage, within a matter of hours. Talk about powerful. I could probably never afford it, but as they say, it's always nice to dream.

Key Teams Up at the White House

I'm pretty sure most of us have seen, or at least heard of, the hilarious show called "Key and Peel". If you haven't however, or just aren't very keen on the details, let me catch you up. Key and Peel is on Comedy Central and their show pretty much consists of comedic strips they act out together, some are just random and others are to make fun of people. Specifically an ongoing segment Key does about making fun of Barack Obama. He pretty much crops himself into Obama's speeches, takes his kind gestures, and makes them into something that "Obama really meant"(click here for examples). Now to return the favor, Obama recently invited Key to the White House, for a very comedic kind of night. The mood was kept light and tons of jokes were made, and in my opinion, it turned out to be quite successful.

A lot of the times we have Presidents that get too into politics to remember what it's like to have fun. Now, I understand that it is not there fault and I commend them for getting into so into their work (it is our country we are protecting). However I think it is nice that Obama takes time to chill out, a while back he had a concert acknowledging some of the best voices of our time. It's also cool that he can still joke around, such as having Key join him last night.  What a great way to lighten the mood, putting away all the condescending factors of life for a night and just having fun.

Last night was a perfect example of how great nights should look like in the white house, and how just a little bit of fun once in a while, can go a long ways.

Review

So after reading about just a few of the incredible experiences I have had music wise that have changed me, don;t forget to go out of your way sometime and have your own experience sometime, I promise it will change you forever.

There truly are no words to express how much music means to me, and how much it really can change your view of just about anything, Let it be love to drag you there, let it be heartbreak, let it be a moment of vulnerability, or just a spontaneous idea to let yourself go for a while and enjoy yourself, let it be whatever it may be draw you to this musical experience of  a lifetime. But whatever you do, don't pass it up.

Music shapes us more than we know, don't deny it. Don't believe me? Go ahead and try it and find out for yourself, I promise whatever the experience is, it won't let you down.

The Opry

Okay, so while I'm on the subject of being a little bit off the subject (of my blog that is) I decided to share another musical experience, which happened on the same week of Beale Street believe it or not.

Now we are in Nashville Tennessee, at the ever so famous Grand Ole Opry. We had originally just stopped there too look around (or that's what my parents told me). One Direction happened to be in town that week so there were a good amount of people walking around, trying to soke in the experience that hundreds of thousands had before them. My favorite part of that day wasn't taking a picture in front of the guitars though, it was the shocking announcement my dad made before we left, we were going back that night to see a show, specifically featuring Carrie Underwood and Trace Adkins.

That night we went out to eat before the show, and boy are the restaurants in Tennessee different than any other place in the country. The way people talk to you and the accents thrown out are an experience in themselves. After we went to eat and enjoyed a rather bitter sweet discussion with our waiter, we were off to see the Opry show.

That night the show just happened to be one that was going to be broadcasted all over the world, and how incredible it was to hear the roar of the crowd and see the ever so famous "On Air" sign light up bright, just as it has ever since the Opry first began. Seeing the circle from the original Opry stage was one of the most breathtaking moments of my life, and knowing that I get to preform there in just one short year (for show choir nationals) made the moment even more incredible.

I remember Carrie sharing that the Opry was home to all of the existing country singers and all that came before them and between that and knowing that every country performer EVER has preformed on that stage made me realize how special of a place it really was.

That night Sam Hunt had his first ever performance at the Opry, and I have never seen a famous person more nervous in my life, what and incredible experience it was to see just how important this really was to all that take the stage. Even Carrie said that she still gets nervous walking on that stage, knowing all of those that had come before her. Wow.

After the show, we walked through the gift shop and I got a pin for my Happiness jacket and a coffee mug that said "The Grand Ole Opry" on it. I will never forget how it felt to even walk through the gift shop. You could feel how important it was to that of many incredible people, and how much of a home it really is. No matter how many hundreds, thousands, millions, billions of people that walk through it, it will never lose it's value. And that alone, is truly inspiring.

Beale Street

Now, I know this isn't one of my normal posts and it doesn't exactly fit the description of my blog title. But it is a "musical experience" I want to share so, close enough.

Beale Street, Memphis Tennessee. Sounds like just another place a car drives down or people walk by, but it is so much more. In fact, no people can drive down it because it is too much of a tourist attraction. There you will find BB Kings, where some of the most famous Blues singers have played. There you will find some of the greatest undiscovered talent playing on the corner. There you will find Blues groups playing their music empty grassy spaces between restaurant or shops. But most importantly, there you will find soul.

Walking down that road for the first time, made me feel like a changed person (as weird as that sounds). It takes you back in time, where people share a deep passion for Blues and no one is afraid to get up and dance and enjoy themselves. Being surrounded by such positivity totally changes your outlook on life, and just for a little while get away from any negativity of your world.

I remember going into BB Kings and sitting down, listening to an amazing undiscovered talent singing with his guitar alone. I remember sitting down and seeing smiles on every single persons face that sat in that restaurant. Even biting into one of the best rack of ribs I have EVER tasted changed my experience. By the time we left we had talked to the waitress who told us that Elvis had preformed on the very stage we were sitting next too, and we had bought the CD of the man (Will Tucker) who had been preforming the night we were there.

As we walked down the street we stopped at tons of shops, some antique, some tourist inspired, but nonetheless all unique in it's own way. I remember stopping and watching a Blues group preforming and seeing people getting up and dancing, sharing their happiness with everyone around them, what a sight. We also stopped and listened to a man with a simple pair of drum sticks and a bucket, and man, he was one of the best drummers I have ever laid eyes on.

All of this happened within a few hours, but changed my look of music forever. It's incredible to see how much music can bring people together, take you back in time, or spread joy right within the moment. I will never forget Beale Street, and hope to go back again one day. If there is anything I have learned in my short experience there it's that no matter how lost you are in the world, you will always be able to find yourself back on Beale Street.

Down to 4

After rising all the way to the top of the charts in America, One Direction has lost a key member of the team. Zayn decided to part ways with the group in order to live a quote "normal life". Now down to 4 in counting, the group decided to go on without him (for more information click here). Alrighty now I believe I have more than enough to discuss on this "unfortunate event" so lets get to it shall we?

First off I would like to say that this is not at all surprise to me (at least the specific situation isn't) to be honest considering all of the guys in the group I could have picked Zayn as the one to break off. Now I can't say I am a quote "expert" of the group, I'm actually probably the farthest from it in terms of teenage girls (if you can't tell, I'm not that much of a fan). Don't get me wrong I love their music and all but I just never got that starstruck feeling that every other girl in the world seemed to be hooked up on. Anyways, on to my next, and strongest feeling, of the whole issue.

We all know that becoming famous means practically signing your whole life away, after all "everything comes with a price" am I right? It doesn't take an expert to realize this, quite frankly all it takes is for the average citizen to pick up a magazine and read a few articles or turn on a talk show watch it for an hour to realize this. In that case, you would have to be merely clueless to think that after becoming ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS GROUPS IN AMERICA, by choice may I add, that you can just wake up one day and decide that you want to be "done". Don't get me wrong it sounds like a cruel truthful statement, and that's because it is just that. It's not that Zayn didn't have a choice though or didn't realize before that this was his life now, he knew.

Don' get me wrong I don't want the worst for him, as it may seem, it's just that I can't fathom how he thinks it's just that simple, to up and leave and live a simple life again. Maybe he truly doesn't realize it or just doesn't want to face the truth, but either way reality will one day hit him, and he's not that far from it. All it's going to take is for him to walk into one mall or grocery store or even take a walk on the street to have a group of girls swarming him or reporters hiding in the bushes trying to sneak peeks of his new "normal life", I just hope for his sake everything works out. Wouldn't want a feeling of excitement in the next step in his life to turn to disappointment.

Nick and Mariah

So as many of us know by now (or maybe not) Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are officially on the outs. In other words, after trying to figure things out they decided it just wasn't working out anymore, and now are proceeding to get a divorce. While I would like to say I am surprised, divorce rates are scarcely high now-a-days and are not that uncommon to see that much anymore However what was quite extraordinary to see was pictures of the couple (or rather not anymore?) getting together with their kids for an Easter egg hunt this morning, now that is not something you see everyday. However, I believe this is something we could all take careful note of.

A lot of times divorces these days are not very discrete, especially in cases that involve conflict over custody of a child or child's. They often end up in ugly battles resolving with neither of those involved ending up completely satisfied, and along with that comes the strong feeling thrown around, hate. What's extraordinary about this picture is the fact that in the process of their divorce, Nick and Mariah and seem to be displaying just the opposite. That's right, love. Something so simple yet rarely thought of in this kind of end to a relationship.

What many adults fail to realize or pay attention to is the fact that more often then not children that are involved in a divorce get it the worst, and we all realize that, just maybe not so much in the moment. This picture of the family together is not merely a coincidence, in my opinion it is a strong statement. Nick and Mariah easily could have had separate egg hunts with the kids or just chose which one would get the kids for the day, but instead they decided to get together, as a family, and share the moment together. What a great example of commitment.

How incredible it was to see that the parents put their differences aside and put what truly means the most to them ultimately ahead of everything. We all have been kids (or are kids) before, and we know how great it was to see that our parents recognized us and cared about us as we grew up, regardless of what the situation. Nick and Mariah made quite the statement spending time together with their kids today, talk about hope for humanity, this is one to get your pencils out for and jot down.

Bruce Jenner

Okay so by now I'm sure that we all know about Bruce Jenner's "Transformation" ( click here to catch up if you haven't). Not surprisingly, there are many questions following his complete change, and understandably so. Was it a midlife crisis? Has he always had this ambition? Is he jealous of the rest of the Kardashian's and wants to be like them? So many questions, and very little answers.

Now first I would like to point out the fact that I believe that everyone deserves their own privacy, and no one should have to make a statement explaining themselves in front of the public solely for the fact that they are a "celebrity" and that people are "curious". Jenner must have had to know that this was going to happen though, wouldn't you think? A big celebrity making such a dramatic decision changing his image, literally! It seems as if he kept it well under wraps for a while, but it seems as if we learn more and more the more every time an interviewer decides to sit down and ask question him about the public's specific interests about the change.

As a society, we are all very quick to judge, which is honestly a weakness in my opinion, but only in certain circumstances. For instance, judging people just off of the way they look or dress is a little far fetched for me (not really fair), however in situations like this, how can you not wonder? The question still remains, why did Bruce Jenner decide to change his gender and his name? In my opinion, many spend too much time trying to wrap their heads around something they will never understand, because it something some of us would never think of doing, EVER, in the first place. Maybe the reason we can't figure all of this out is because of simply just that. In that case, its okay to be curious, but we need to be careful about how far we chose to go to understand the whole story.

Ariana Grande

" The little girl (or woman rather) with the big voice, Ariana Grande sure does fit this category well, and millions of trending fans seem to agree. Just a few years back when people heard the name Ariana Grande they though of that one girl named Cat on Victorious. But now, only a short amount of years later, she is thoroughly known as a phenomena. Touching the lives of many and constantly taking the breathe from the millions that travel to go see her in concert, Ariana Grande has done nothing shy of impressing and inspiring the world.

We've known many to be the way that Ariana is, soft spoken but not near shy when she hits the stage. Some examples would include Martina McBride, Micheal Jackson just to name a few. But we never seem to fall short of loving celebrities that live such different lives on and off stage. Watching someone get on stage and relive certain moments of their lives right in front of you is truly inspiring, but that is just the beginning.

I envy Ariana. Now I get it, I sound like a crazed fan (which I couldn't totally repent) but I do truly envy her. We all remember Miley Cyrus's rough "transition"  from Hannah Montana to whatever she is now, and that in no way was a graceful way of doing things. I mean, how do you manage to change from teenage sweetheart to most rebellious immature young adult in a matter of a couple of years? Ariana however set an amazing example. Slowly sipping out of Cat and into a matured adult (still expressing her longing of growing and moving forward to a more mature part in her life) and being able to keep herself poised was quite a sight to see. I mean, how else could you successfully transition from Cat on Nickelodeon to being invited by president Obama to preform in the white house along side of some of the greatest soulful singers of our generation, not many I would say.

Along with the success of her transition, she has also been able to keep a lot of her same fans, while also gaining more from the older adult category. Going back to the Miley Cyrus comparison, there is no way parents of Disney watchers could let their kids continue to fan girl over someone who does drugs and rides hot dogs half naked in concert. Which again, shows just how extraordinary it was it was to watch Ariana be so amazing at her transition to a greater part of her life.

Now Ariana is one of the most known artists  around the world and has achieved what most only dream of. And as for her fans (speaking from the perspective of one) it is just as pleasing to watch her succeed.

By Fashion

As the seasons change yet again, we continue to see the constant change in fashion. A lot of times we are swayed towards our particular tastes based off of what celebrities are wearing, and find countless magazine pictures with ratings as to if the particular celebrities outfit is "hot or not" therefore comparing the two (or three or four or however many there are). To accompany this there are also a ton of fashion shows in bigger cities all around the world show casing some of the worlds greatest fashion designers and their new takes in the fashion world. My question is though, why do we pay such close attention to these specific things.

Whoever has a snap chat knows that there have been plenty of "stories" lately that have shown fashion shows in action (you could also find this information in countless articles on the internet) but the truth is, a lot of the outfits that are show cased never really trend (at least not in america). The fur coats and daring makeup all seem to catch our eye on the red carpet and may even spark an inspiration in us, but it never seems to go beyond that.

While we do see a trend in certain celebrities and the way they dress, we never really see to fully grow off of their ideas of fashion either, in fact a lot of it just seems like a way to compare a great out fit from celebrity number one, just to compare it with and bash on celebrity number two's. Now, as we all know there are plenty of celebrities that have their own lines of fashion (such as Selena Gomez and J Lo) which are to an extent successful in the make up of our fashion trends, but still not to par with all of the other ideas brought up in and out of seasons.

So what is the make up of our societies idea of fashion? In my opinion, it is very well scattered. As mentioned earlier I do believe that some of it has to do with celebrities, some with their own line and others we see trying new things and really get hooked on. Another major part of it though I believe is the experiment of consumerism. Some new things are put on the shelf as the new season comes around (some succeed, some fail) and then whatever is bought most in the end, is what we make more of. Companies get more money and we get more of what we want. Our eyes often times tend to drift towards what looks good on the manic ans as well, so stores adjust to what catches the eye the most as and display it. As we all can probably agree, it is easier to make the decision when the choice is laid out right in front of you.

Carrie Underwood...Again

Alright I know I have wrote about her before but, if you couldn't tell already, I love her to death. Recently there was a picture posted that she is getting further and further along in the process of her pregnancy, which is so exciting!

Think about it, if you can be a celebrity that travels the world and here's a lot of different opinions and listen to people who try to force you to do quote on quote "bad things", and yet your core is strong enough to convince you to stay true to yourself, you are probably fit to be a parent. and Carrie Underwood is. She has gone through so many tough decisions and rough patches along the way, but she has never cheated her morals and values, and that is incredible (props to her parents). What's even better about it though is that she is easily going to be able to raise her kids the same way, which (in my opinion) is so important. There are plenty of people around the world that have kids that have no business doing so, but Carrie Underwood is not one of them.

Part of the reason Underwood is idol-ed (no intended) is because she has stayed true to herself along her journey of being famous, and there is no doubt she is going to teach her kids to be the same way. How exciting is it going to be to watch her be a mom and see how great her kids turn out. Who knows? They might end up being the next American Idol too, either way though, it is going to be an awesome experience. I am happy for her and her husband and wish them the best in they're future endeavors as parents!

The Perks

Okay, so while there are probably a number of negative things involved in being a celebrity, we can'r ignore the luxurious lives they live beside that. Hollywood parties, front row seats to music awards we would die to go to, traveling around the world, million dollar houses, and the list goes on and on.

The average teenage girl probably scrolls through Pinterest at least twice a day (total guess by the way) and in those feeds tend to be a world unknown to us, because we re not adults yet. One of those topics happen to be "Dream Houses", and boy (at least for me) do we repin and repin. Can you imagine having million dollar houses, being able to have whatever you want? Now don't get me wrong. celebrities work WAY hard to get all their money and be able to afford all of those things, but still, wouldn't it be a sight to see? Coming home to a big customized pool, or a gorgeous room with a million dollar view. I can see it now, and houses aren't the limit either.

Parties. While a lot of the time celebs are working hard at making a new movie, or in the recording studio trying to rack up yet another new hit, and then touring the world showing people the art they have created. When they aren't though, they are set up to go to parties. Now, while they are probably set up for them and stuff like that, you have to admit, that would be amazing. Imagine getting the opportunity to hang out in a huge house with friend and colleagues that all have the same thing in common with you. Being able to relax, for all of your hard work. School tends to be the opposite really, get rewarded an A for effort and going on to the next project after. Not that we work harder than celebrities because trust me, I know that we don't, but how awesome would it be?

In conclusion, I would assume that not everything about being a celeb stinks, besides if it weren't we probably wouldn't have any anymore anyways.

Humiliation

Okay so I'm sure I've recently mentioned the fact that we often pay attention to stupid little things such as articles like "So and So fell OMG, the world is about to end" but the other major factor I haven't brought up yet is pictures.

I'm sure all of us have seen pictures of us posted on social media that we aren't particularly "fond" of, or that we are embarrassed of. What about celebrities though? Imagine having people follow you around everywhere you go, people must have plenty of embarrassing pictures of them that would humiliate them, and they do. We all can admit to seeing at least one picture of some significant person plastered on the front page of a magazine and have thought "Wow, if that were me, I would be so humiliated" and I'm sure each and every time, every last one of them, are.

Often times we tend to think past the fact that these are people just like us and think just like us. Instead however, we think of which ones will grab more peoples attention and make them read the article more, which is sick. Okay, sure when artists or actors sign up to be what they are, they are warned or should assume these things are going to happen, but that doesn't justify it, right? Then in turn,, we just expect them to see it and brush it off, write a song if they are so about it, whats the big deal?

I want you to, just for a second, imagine the worst picture you have ever seen of yourself, got it? Okay, now imagine that that is plastered on a front page of a very popular and well read magazine by millions of people, and there is no way to undo the damage because it is already there. And the worst part? You didn't even know this was going to happen! So you sit back, and read the article, in tears, and are forced to face reality, and move on. Your expected to just not care! Over the next couple days some people will pass it, not caring, and some will laugh, show their friends, but it isn't supposed to affect you because ITS JUST A PICTURE, bull, right?

We don't care, it's just a picture in a magazine that we might get a good laugh out of and might earn someone a couple thousand dollar for catching it, but we are all human. Wouldn't it hurt you?

Short and Sweet

Alright, after my last post, I thought that maybe we should take a brief (or a short and sweet) moment to talk about something a little more positive.

The new movie American Sniper has captured the eyes of millions of people within it's first opening week. Not only that but they have received over 90.2 million dollars just within this opening week. How incredible is that?! Now, while I have never seen the movie, I have heard so many amazing things about it ( as I'm sure you can imagine). For me, I love movies about soldiers and the war, there are so many things we can learn and take away from them, plus they are just plain entertaining! In this case, I hope to soon find time to see the movie. I guess it was a good idea not to see it super early anyways, I'm sure it was a hassle to find tickets that weren't already for shows that were sold out and also good movie theatre spots. But what about you? If you were daring enough to go within the first viewings of the movie, what did you think? Comment in the box below and share your thoughts! Or don't, thats cool too, I don't blame you.

Oblivion

Once again the ever so famous Kate Middleton is pregnant with baby number two! I mean, as if the first one wasn't perfect enough. My question though is why is America so obsessed? Sure she is an amazing person with great morals and incredible values to lead the world with, but she seems to appear more in American magazines than president Obama does.

Nw don't get me wrong, I am in love with Kate Middleton and would probably chose her over president Obama any day to be the symbol of America, but she isn't. Lately magazines have been full of pictures of her new adorable baby (which by the way was gifted a FREAKING BOAT from one of the royal families close friends) and images of Kate and Williams life since having him have been, but what about all the news thats affecting America? Is it hidden in the shadows some where? But wait now Kate is pregnant with baby number two! Here come more pictures in the magazines with her new baby bump plastered on the front page! But where in the world is the big news about how America is supposedly going to be attacked on our home land, OUR SOIL PEOPLE. Lets not forget how terrible 9/11 struck us!

Like I said, don't get me wrong I think William and Kate's new baby is adorable and it is awesome she is yet again pregnant with her second child who will one day rule England, but that is England guys, we are in America! And when the day comes that we get a even more serious threat or something pops up somehow here, Kate Middleton (all the way over in England) is not going to save us. Maybe this sounds a little overreactive now, but is it going to when something actually happens! We need to be thinking about ourselves here! We are setting ourselves up every single time something major happens and we ignore it. A threat? Eh, government will take care of it, security, someone. We set ourselves up every time we pick up a magazine with the new Bachelor episode featured and leave the major news buried in the dust.  How do you know somethings not going to happen to you!? Sure the government is good at their jobs but they can't read people's minds! So what happens when you, an innocent person that has nothing to do with the situation (this has happened plant of times) gets attacked? Are you going to know what's going on? Who to call? What to do? Or are you going to be thinking about the new baby of England?

We have the ability to protect ourselves, we just aren't taking action, we are ignoring it to realize the more happy things in life. But what happens when a disaster strikes? Will America's next top model be right there ready to protect you? I think not.

Nicki Minaj Appreciation

I was sitting on the couch this morning and came upon a Nicki Minaj movie, so i started watching it. The truth is that (before I had watched this) I never really thought much of her, just that she is another rapper that uses a an excessive amount of cuss words in her songs. After i saw a portion of the movie though, I had a totally different perspective on her. If you really listen to a rappers songs, most of the time they speak so much truth. What you hardly realize though is the amount of pain a lot of artists have to go through to really make a song that digs deep. They not only have to go through a a situation to be furmilur with it, but they have to relive it, everywhere. In the recording studio, every time they preform it, when they write it! So sure they might be 3 minute songs that we enjoy listening to whenever we have something in our lives that can relate or whenever we need a good cry, but not for these artists. Nicki Minaj in particular.

In her movie, Minaj pointed out the fact that her new and recent album she put out caused a huge a roller coaster of emotions in her life. What's beautiful about this album as a whole is that she stated that when making the tracks, she never really meant for it to turn out to be such an emotional spin, it just ended up that way. She not only said that, nut she sort of took her viewers on a little bit of a journey throughout her life, taking the back to her old town and old friends. Just in that it's really easy to realize that these songs aren'e just a way to entertain fans, it's a way to tell her story in the most plausible way possible.

All of this in itself really brought out the true meaning behind not only Nicki Minaj's music, but every singer/song writer out there. Not only that, but it teaches you just how much these people (ordinary, just like us) have to give up to follow their dreams. It's easier to see it in writing, but to get a glimpse of what it really is in a movie, is heartbreaking. All in all all of these key points made me really earn respect not only for Minaj, but every other singer that makes sacrifices and gives up so much to entertain people al over the world.

Pregnant Again

Beyonce is pregnant again with baby number two! how exciting is it that pretty much every girls idol is once again pregnant. I remember just the other day before going on for show choir all the girls had girl time and jammed out to her songs! Like how great and beautiful and perfect are her kids going to be? I mean maybe I should back it up a little. To often we seem to just assume things about celebs kids based on the actual celebrity's involved. However, realistically, there are some singers (for example) that have kids that can't even hold a note. Not that that is a bad thing, everyone is their own person, but we shouldn't just assume things. While we can't imagine picture the talents Beyonces kids my have/ possibly inherit, we can predict how perfectly flawless they are going to look. Need proof? Just take Angelia Jolie and Brad Pitts baby's are! Practically twins to them! What's most important though is how her kids are born and raised, and based on I don't know, THE WORLD, it sees as if they are going to be in good hands. I mean if anyone has the mom jean it is defiantly Beyonce. If anyone can teach their kids to be confident and focus on what they believe in (while staying true to themselves) it is her.  That is why many of us today look up to her, her confidence and pride in sticking to what she firmly believes in.

With all of this being said it is exciting to hear the new news of Beyonces second pregnancy, if anyone has worked hard to deserve it it is her. It fits well too because sometimes we just all need a break, and while she is a very dedicated worked, I'm sure her kids will force her to slow down and take a breather. Which is good! Because as it is right now people would want Beyonce to Run the World more than they would Obama now-a-days!

Is It Really That Important?

A lot of times now-a-days half of the headlines we see are about honestly (in my opinion) are ridiculously unreasonable things. Like is it really that big of a deal that Kevin Hart is shorter than his fiance? Like we couldn't have guessed that one! Or that Jeremy Renner glanced at Jennifer Lopez's boobs? Honestly people WE ARE HUMAN, and yes while it was probably a really tacky time to do it, I'm almost positive half the things that are put out there right now are soooo over exaggerated, such as this one. Like how much do you want to bet that some member of the paparazzi just happened to get a lucky picture that seemed like that was what as happening, and then wasted a whole entire article on a lie. Want to write about something that will really impact us as a population? Write about how terrible the economy is right now, or about world hunger. Who cares if we've heard about it a million times, we need to hear about it a million times more! These are the are things that are going to make or break our society and yet we continue to be so self involved in life that we would rather read a whole article about a lie rather than one simple sentence of the truth.

I'm sure many of you reading this right now probably think all of this is overrated but think about it people! Think of the difference between how many articles there are in world about the Kardashians new nudes or how so and so fell on the sidewalk compared to how many there are about how scarce our natural resources are, and how if we loose those we literally can't do or make anything. Sure we rage on for a few days when subjects of the scarcity of our environment finally make the lime light, but we will rage on for weeks over an entertaining lie about Brad Pitt or Angelia Jolie. Literally (while I will admit I am often one of them) try not to be the person that cares more about the truth that's twisted into lies and more about reality. The human voice has so much power as to what ends up unfolding in the world. All we need to do is speak up and we could literally change the world! So why do we always ignore what we are truly capable of? Because we honestly just don't care? Or because we are to focused on the lies and to blind to the truth?

The Bachelor

Last night hundreds of thousands of people tuned in to ABC to watch yet another kick off of the very popular show The Bachelor. This years the candidate happens to be from Iowa, and how amazing is it to have somebody from our state (that not a lot of people are familiar with, I mean I definitely wouldn't mark it as a great tourist attraction or anything) being represented as the man looking for love. To me it seems as if people really enjoyed the idea, (at least I did, I mean can you say HOT). I don't know about you but with thirty gorgeous female candidates showing up, I wouldn't call that just shy of impressive. Anyways starting the new season last night was exciting, and while I'm sure many of you have your own opinions of the show, here are some of mine.

Often times people tend to argue the idea of the show, saying that it's all made up and that no one on there really comes out finding their true love, and while I do agree with SOME of the first point made, it's hard not to believe the second (especially based on the results of the former people on the show that wed up on the red carpet last night at the premiere).

The former people that showed up all had little featured interviews, with a lot of them stating that they re still happily in love. Some even stated they were expecting or planning to have children. Based on this information, I would like to believe that everyone truly does come out finding their true love. I mean, who would fake that kind of stuff for the rest of their lives, am I right?

As for the first part, I do believe that the show can be hard to grasp, with everyone being staged in beautiful flawless places (practically traveling the world) it can be a bit unrealistic. Along with that, I can see how (considering not a lot of it corresponds with what real couples go through together) I understand why people may question the show. Overall however it does seem like (true or not) The Bachelor really does have a way of catching the public's eye. Whether it's the drama, or just the idea of the perfect love story something seems to continue to pull the world into tuning in every Monday night to ABC.
